Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, former supermodel and film maker. Her beautiful beauty and success in the film industry are a testament to her skills as an actor. She began her career as a model during the 1970s before becoming one of the top models. Beginning in the 1980s she began taking acting classes and studied theater before performing on the stage in Los Angeles. Rose Namajunas has been one of UFC's most prominent female athletes. She started her career as an amateur fighter taking part in numerous regional promotions prior to signing to Invicta Fighting Championships and later signing up with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Due to her successes in and outside the Octagon, Namajunas has become a household word since joining UFC. Rose has had highs and lows throughout her professional career, however, she has always come out victorious. Rose took on Carla Esparza on April 15, 2015, for the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose defeated Esparza by an technical knockout that took less than three minutes of Round One. Rose not only won the championship but was awarded Fighter Of The Night. Rose also made MMA historical with her fight since she was the first woman to compete in a title fight within any organization of note. After this win, Namajunas was able to have a number of victories, including defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC in the wake of these wins .
